Garbage comes in from the ocean and collects on these otherwise pristine and remote beaches in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve in Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is likely that much of it comes from cruise ships dumping garbage in international waters just off shore. These are turtle nesting beaches.
