How To Help Haiti Recover From Hurricane Matthew
The hurricane, which made landfall in Haiti on Tuesday, damaged up to 80 percent of homes in the south of the country, according to UNICEF. The new wave of destruction comes as thousands in the country remain homeless from the massive 2010 earthquake.
“This is the worst storm Haiti has seen in decades,” UNICEF’s Marc Vincent said in a release. “Our first priority is to make sure children have enough safe water.”
