Translation:
The decree granting concession of shell sand in Bay of Lannion, Brittany, to CAN Industry, was signed Monday and published this Wednesday in the Official Journal.
The french company is now allowed to dredge shell sand off Finistere and Armor’s coasts. The concession has been granted for 15 years and for an amount not to exceed 250,000m3 per year.
Mining of this sand will not be permitted between the months of May and August and environmental survey will be conducted.
The environmental group “Peuple Des Dunes” intends to appeal and file an action before the administrative court.
